77. Meet the World Famous Budweiser Clydesdales
Family Friendly, Free things to do in Austin, Outside, Random Fun | 18 Mar 2010With what I am sure is one of the biggest beer drinking holidays a day behind us – I figured it would be fun to meet the World Famous Budweiser Clydesdales. This is a family friendly event because I can still remember when I went to see them at about age 10 and I was mesmerized, I don’t even really like horses.
The Clydesdales have become a key symbol to the Anheuser-Busch Company. They first were associated with the brand in 1933 and have grown as a key association with the company since then.
The Clydesdales have been a longstanding Super Bowl tradition as they have been featured a Budweiser Commercial during the Super Bowl for years. This year, the 2010 Super Bowl Budweiser announced that for the first time in decades the Clydesdales would not appear in a Super Bowl Commercial. After a Facebook poll and out rage Budweiser decided to carry on the tradition and include the Clydesdales in a Commercial that was aired during the forth quarter.
It is a great part of Beer Drinking culture and an experience that I remember from when I first saw them years ago. Take advantage of the opportunity while they are in Austin.
They are available for viewing from now until Sunday, March 21st.
