85. Midnight Rodeo
Live Music, Things To Do In Austin | 26 Mar 2010With the Austin Rodeo winding down this weekend I figured now would be as good as time as ever to keep the Rodeo Spirit alive and head on down to Midnight Rodeo.
Trust me when I say I have no moves on the dance floor, zero. Hence my being like a fish out of water at a place where the main attraction is the huge solid oak dance floor. None the less, once in a blue moon it is fun to change things up from my normal weekend routine, bust out the boots and boot scoot and boogie at Midnight Rodeo.
Originally an 84 Lumber Company site – so there is more than enough room for the party. As I have mentioned before I am not much of a beer drinker but rumor is they have great prices on pitchers. I get well drinks and their prices are very reasonable. So overall, I am going to say pretty good drink deals no matter what you are ordering.
They are only Open Thursday (Ladies Night) – Saturday!
They have a mix of live bands and a DJ – Tonight Ryan Beaver is playing, next Friday it is Texas Renegade! Live band or not – it always draws a crowd.
I am giving them credit for their tagline (I love a good play on words . . . ‘Juan in Million’ anyone?!) Midnight Rodeo – simply a 2-Step Above the Rest. Props on that one guys, I like it.
