104. Free Yoga In The Park

Free things to do in Austin, Outside, Sporting Events, Things To Do In Austin | 14 Apr 2010

When it comes to testing out new things, it is always easier to give something the old college try if you can do it free of charge. It is already April and that means that swimsuit season is basically upon us so time to lose that extra winter weight and get ready for summer. Yoga I hear is a great way to get toned, relax, reduce stress and in this case enjoy the great outdoors.

All classes are lead by a certified yoga instructor courtesy of Yoga Yoga. All skill levels and ages are welcome.

Yoga in the Park takes place every Wednesday in April from noon – 1:00pm. I think that this is such a cool opportunity to really spice up your lunch hour as well as working to Keep Austin Fit.

How to Prepare: Where comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat if possible. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle as well. Good thing the classes are in April – if this was taking place in July it would be like doing bikram yoga in the park, that might be a little intense for lunch time yoga.

Location:
Republic  Square Park
5th and Guadalupe

Visit http://www.austinparks.org/yoga.html  to make sure it is not canceled due to rain and for more information.  Rain cancellations are posted by 11:00am.

If it is canceled this week look at this as an opportunity to plan ahead for next week!

Here’s to trying new things and enjoying Austin!
