108. American Hero Celebration at Camp Mabry

I have said it before and I will say it again, Texans are proud Americans. Today is a day to honor our Country as well as our local heroes at Campy Mabry during the American Hero Celebration.

It looks like the rain is going to hold off for the day and we will be able to enjoy a partly cloudy day instead of it monsoon ingdown on us like last night.

The event is free admission and free parking – so come out enjoy some of the following activities.

• Living history exhibits, historic weapons firing demos, military vehicle rides, historic and current military vehicle/aircraft displays
• Music and pony rides all day
• Paintball arcade, bungee run, petting zoo, putting green, kids’ karaoke
• Air mobile assault demo
• Texas Revolution/Civil War demo

They will two reenactments:
World Ward II reenactment battle at 1:00
 Vietnam reenactment at 3:30

Time: 8:00am-5:00pm
