109. Love & a 45 Record Player Party at Rio Rita
Bars / Happy Hour, Coffee Shops, Restaurants, Things To Do In Austin | 19 Apr 2010Happy Monday, I have some good things in store for the blog this week so I am excited to get this week started not to mention if you can make it through the week and to Saturday it is the 47th Annual Eeyore’s Birthday.
I thought might as well start to week off with some East Side Fun at Rio Rita. Monday nights at 8:00 they have the “Love & a 45 Record Player Party” that means you are the DJ, so bring your favorite 45’s and sign up to spin some of your favorite tunes.
They have a great, very large outdoor patio that manages to fit perfect with the “East Side” feel that this place embodies. It is a very laid back and comfortable setting.
Free Wi-Fi for all of you that need a place need to work on a computer and want t quiet place with internet access. This place really does a great transition from being a great day spot to a night hangout. Speaking of the night scene I better touch on the adults drinks offered, they have infused Titos vodka – Infused vodka makes any drink better. There also something about a “mystery beer” that they always have but I am not the beer expert so I am not too sure about that. Also, while touching on the drinks they do serve up a pretty good cup of coffee.
Bonus Points: all you “words with friends” players out there, they have a Scrabble Board for your own enjoyment.
I love the idea of bringing out your favorite 45’s and calling it night, that’s so Retro or at least my book. Monday is the night to give this place a try, so just another great little spot Austin has to offer.
