To start off – was anyone there yesterday? I would love to hear how it went and what you thought about the event!

Art City Austin is a city wide art celebration basically bringing together and celebrating local arts, it is formally known as “Laguna Gloria Art Fiesta. This is the 60th year for the event and over 20,000 are expected to attend throughout the weekend. Art City will feature over 190 artists that will cater to different styles. As with any good Austin Festival there will be live music!

They have plenty of good eats including these local favorites Amy’s Ice Cream, County Line BBQ, Kerbey Lane Café, Tiff’s Treats, Torchy’s Tacos and many more.

The streets downtown are blocked off – the Front entrances are located on Cesar Chavez at Guadalupe, Colorado, or Lamar and the 1st Street Bridge.

Tickets: $8.00 adults, kids 12 & under free.
Time: 11:00am-6:00pm

    Art City Austin was gorgeous yesterday! The weather was perfect and thousands of Austinites enjoyed live music, local food, and art from 190 juried artists. The gates are open today from 11a.m.-6p.m. (Sunday, 4/25)

    Kids 12 and under get in free! And we’ve got a kid’s block with live screenprint, face painting, spin art, and more.
