I don’t know where to even start, this place has all good things Austin tied into one. Personally I believe that it is on its way to making itself an Austin Icon, much in the same way  the Alamo Drafthouse has become iconic. Maybe it’s the vintage feel that takes you back to the 1960’s but The Highball certainly has some quality that is just intoxicating.

It does not matter what night you are looking for fun – they will be great entertainment any night of the week.  Each week they have a “Geeks who Drink” trivia night (most of the time on Tuesdays), I am huge trivia addict so that always gets me. They have so much to keep you occupied that you would be hard pressed to hit everything in one night. My friends dig the bowling because it is very retro and you have to keep your own score.

They also have the most fun karaoke rooms ever – each room is a different theme from “beachy” to “old school hip hop” so they really manage to encompass it all. Each room is complete with props to make karaoke all the more fun. A personal favorite feature is a red switch in every room that you can turn on anytime you need the waitress to come – they have just managed to think of it all.

I do not feel like my words are doing this place justice, it really is great fun. I will also say they have a fantastic Happy Hour, Monday – Friday 4:30-7:00 free karaoke,  $2.00 Lone Stars & Pints and$4.00 Well Drinks.

I could easily carry on about why I think that it is a great place for a date, friends, out of town guests but I think you have gotten my drift – the way I see it there is nothing not to love.

Now let’s get this party started, I must have died and gone to Happy Hour Heaven.
