125. La Condesa Cinco De Mayo Downtown Block Party
Family Friendly, Festivals, Free things to do in Austin, Live Music, Outside, Things To Do In Austin | 5 May 2010Happy Cinco De Mayo, maybe we should all start the day with a margarita or a cerveza. A free block party today, I think yes! I struggled with what to blog on because there are so many places that I can rave on when it comes to margaritas and unique Austin joints that do not disappoint but a have to say a block party seems to be where the party is at. Plus this is the perfect weather for a good block party!
The block party will feature an variety of authentic food and drinks provided by neighborhood restaurants – specifically La Condesa & Malaga. As I say each time we have a good street festival in Austin, local musicians will provide entertainment.
Not only is this my choice for the best celebrations – the Austin Chronicle also named it the pick of the week!
So sombreros off too Cinco De Mayo! I hope that everyone is as excited as me, after all who doesn’t love a holiday even if we still have to make it through the workday it does make hump day a little easier knowing we have something to celebrate when the day is over!
Time: 5:00pm-10:00pm
Location:
W 2nd Street Between San Antonio & Guadalupe
Speaking of margaritas anyone have any suggestions where their favorite place is to grab a margarita in Austin?
