Happy Mother’s Day Everyone, this is the first Mother’s Day that I am not with my loving Mother  that I love madly and it breaks my heart, “Hi Mom, I will see next weekend.”

I was going to take the Brunch Route and blog on a great place to go to Mother’s Day Brunch because if you are going to do Brunch Mother’s Day may be the one day of the year that you venture out and try it. After I got to thinking I realized that if you didn’t have Mother’s Day Plans by now chances are you won’t get in anywhere anyways.

So here is something that you can check out AFTER Brunch – Art of the Pot. It is an opportunity for you to check out 16 different potters at 4 locations across Austin in a nice little studio tour. This is the 7th Annual Event and it is FREE! Mom’s love this sort of thing and the work they have done is amazing. They studio tour features some of the best pottery in the country, 5 are the artists are from Austin and others are guests from around the nation.

The artists were featured last weeks on Austin’s news station, KEYE, “We Are Austin” segment, the watch visit http://weareaustin.com/austinlive-story/?nxd_id=62375.

Here is a little Mother’s Day Trivia: Did you know that Mother’s Day is the day that the most flowers are sent around the world.

Also, August is the most popular month to have a baby, I guess that makes sense, almost exactly 9 months after New Year’s Eve.

Now, go call your Mom and have a great day!
