139. Triangle’s Farmers Market
Free things to do in Austin, Outside, Random Fun, Things To Do In Austin | 19 May 2010So I am at a friend’s “Going Away” dinner last night (Bye Meredith, Austin will miss you madly) agonizing over what today will hold. Well out of the woodwork someone suggests the “Triangle’s Farmer’s Market” and I must say nights like last night make me think I must be one of the most scatterbrained people on planet Earth. I have been wanting and waiting to blog on this Wednesday night treasure but wanted to wait until Spring/Summer. I lived there for two years, how do these little pieces of Awesomeness manage to slip my brain in a clutch situation?
This is such a fun event during the summer all kinds of local vendors come out and you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, honey, eggs and plants. I loved going because there was always a booth that had some of the best lemonade on the planet.
They also have live music on the stage sometimes; it is an all around great event for the whole family.
There are few better ways to spend a Wednesday evening. It is fun to make a night out of it and get some snacks from all the vendors and call that dinner, they are so many fun and unique booths – it never gets old. I don’t know what it is about buying fresh goods that makes you feel so healthy, something about being there makes me think I am at a street market in Italy, but I am sure that is just me.
