156. Blondes Vs. Brunettes Powder Puff Showdown to Benefit Alzheimer’s Association

I am blogging on something that is very dear to my hear t today as my grandfather suffered from Alzheimer’s so a fundraiser to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association is something I am passionate about.

This is the second annual Blondes vs. Brunettes Powder Puff Football Showdown, last year the Brunettes pulled through for the win. If you ask me this is the perfect way to settle the age old rivalry, blondes vs. brunettes an all proceeds go to a fantastic cause.

After the rivalry is settled the players are hosting a after party at Abel’s on the Lake located at 3825 Lake Austin Blvd. (same parking lot as Hula Hut). Abel’s will be donating 15% of their sales from the night to the Alzheimer’s Association so come out and show some support. For those of you who have not visited this future list item it is a great place to grab a cocktail or meal on the water. They have great prices and great drinks, one heck of a mango margarita if you ask me.

It is a great day for some summer ball, last year they were able to raise over $25,000 and this year they have aspired to raise $75,000. Like I said before this is a cause that is very dear to my heart so I am excited to write about it today and hopefully get some of you out there to show some support or at least grab a drink at Able’s on the Lake tonight.

$20 donation to the Alzheimer’s Association gets you in the game.
