184. Pioneer Farms Independence Day Celebration

Family Friendly, Things To Do In Austin | 3 Jul 2010

I am going to venture out there and say that this might be my favorite holiday, it reminds me of all things that I love, the lake, family, friends, freedom, summer plus its one of those holidays that if you live in America, you are celebrating!

Today I figured I would go with the family friendly, kid geared celebration at Pioneer Farms. This is an old fashioned, flag waving kind of celebration. It will feature live music, hay rides, gunfights,  jam & jelly making, a historical reading of the Declaration of Independence and much more.  Don’t miss the Scarborough Barn where you can get up close with your favorite farm animal friends!

For some reason, this celebration makes me feel so Betsy Ross. Anyone know that reference to American History?  This is a great event to take you back to small town America and help remind us of where we came from and what a long way we have come.

Time: 10:00am-5:00pm

Price: $8.00 for adults, $6.00 kids over age 2

Location:
10621 Pioneer Farms Drive
