185. Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic
Festivals, Live Music, Outside, Things To Do In Austin | 4 Jul 2010Happy Birthday America! It would not be 4th of July in Austin, Texas if I did not blog on Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic.
The lineup of music of bands that will cross the stage today is unbelievable. I will give you a few highlights but visit the website for full details. My favorites include of course Willie Nelson, Randy Rogers Band, Asleep at the Wheel, Ray Wylie Hubbard, David Allan Coe, and Kevin Fowler. This is one of those performances that country music lovers embrace.
Food will be served from some Austin Favorites including Torchy’s Tacos, Mandola’s Italian Market, Giovannis Pizza Stand, Smokey Mo’s BBQ, The Best Wurst, pervious list item, Good Pop.
General Admission Tickets: $55.00 – I know that is steep but this is an Austin Tradition and I love Willie Nelson to be it is definitely blog worthy!
Basically, this is all the makings of Austin Tradition and a day filled with good music and good company!
Doors Open: 10:00am
Opening Ceremony: 11:00am
Finally for good measure I will say, the Austin Symphony performs during the fireworks at Auditorium Shores for free and that too is a great time.
