199. “Aladdin” at Scottish Rite Children’s Theatre
Family Friendly, Random Fun, Things To Do In Austin | 18 Jul 2010The heat just too much for you? Need something cheap and fun to keep you entertained indoors?
“Aladdin” is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies, and I hear the production done by the Scottish Rite Children’s Theatre is awesome. Who doesn’t love the magic carpets, genies and the idea of being granted three wishes?
The show is 2 p.m. today. However, if you can’t make it today, this is a great place to keep in mind for summer entertainment. They have several other shows if “Aladdin” doesn’t make the grade for you.
Their mission is to provide year-round, quality, fun and affordable children’s’ entertainment. They hope to leave their patrons with an appreciation of live theatre and a greater awareness of their historic building. Since their construction in 1869, the building has hosted years of theatrical productions, social events and weddings.
