I have been wanting to blog on the Elephant Room for sometime now and this week this 75^th birthday Tribute Concert was brought to my attention so I thought it would be the perfect time to write about them.

For those who are not familiar with the Elephant Room, it is a must stop for both music and jazz lovers. They have live music happy hour every night from 4:00-8:00pm.

Here are the highlights of the tribute tonight: Gift bags for the first 100 people ( I always love a party favor), Kirk’s music preformed by some favorites, live concert footage, plus a midnight birthday countdown.

The best part about the tribute is that all proceeds from the evening will go to The Austin Jazz Workshop, a non profit organization that brings jazz musicians directly into public school classrooms.

Seating is limited, get there early!

First set: 9:30pm

Admission: $5.00 at the door.
