245. 1st Annual Austin Street Magic Festival
Family Friendly, Festivals, Free things to do in Austin, Random Fun, Things To Do In Austin | 2 Sep 2010This is the first annual street magic festival, so I have no idea what to expect, but it sounds pretty Austin and pretty awesome. I mean who doesn’t love a good magic show?
A huge array of street performers will be there including magicians, musicians, jugglers, clowns, ventriloquists, puppeteers and balloon twisters. It sounds like the kind of “weird” event that will suit Austin nicely. I’m personally a big fan of magic. The illusions and tricks just leave me perplexed for days!
Come hungry and ready to be entertained as they will have food, drinks, crafts and community booths.
They will also have a hula hoop contest, with prizes, so bring you’re “A” game.
These are supposed to be some of the best “street” acts in the world, so it is definitely a treat to have them in them performing in the Capital City. I think this kind of event could be a nice addition to a town known for celebrating its performance arts.
