251. Films Series at the Paramount

Family Friendly, Random Fun, Things To Do In Austin | 8 Sep 2010

Turns out Austin is a city full of thrill seekers, as the Texas Sphere ride (https://365austindeals.com/) would attest.

But I for one love the pouring rain. I feel like it’s been forever since we’ve had a few rainy days. However, this weather does make it hard for me to come up with something to do, as most people love laying around watching TV or hanging out on the couch when it’s pouring outside.

I figure by this point you may be suffering a little cabin fever, so heading out to the Paramount to see a movie might be exactly what the doctor ordered. Each summer, they show some of the best films – everything from early-century classics to foreign flicks — and even though we’ve missed some of the best shows, there’s still time to enjoy some amazing movies at the Paramount.

This is a pretty sweet place to see a movie and a nice change of scenery if you’re sick of you’re average movie theater. The detail and architecture inside is absolutely gorgeous and my description lacks all the necessary adjectives to do it any justice.

Movies Still Remaining in the Series:
Tonight – Saturday: When Harry Met Sally & Sleepless in Seattle
Saturday & Sunday: Gone With the Wind

Admission at the Theater: $9.00

Location:

713 Congress Ave.
Austin, Texas 78701
