255. Ballet Austin’s Come Dance
Family Friendly, Free things to do in Austin, Random Fun, Things To Do In Austin | 12 Sep 2010At four years old I was kicked out of my first, last and only ballet recital for being completely of rhythm and crying on center stage. Dancing has never been my thing, unless you ask me to bust out “the worm.” But all you Austinites that long to be dancers, are dancers, were dancers, or have any interest in dance, today is your chance to learn from some of the best instructors in the city.
Ballet Austin was described by the New York Times as “A company with big ambitions,” producing work that is “absorbing.” They are a very highly respected organization in town, so this is an truly outstanding opportunity to take some lessons.
Classes will range from everything from ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, hula, Zamba, fitness, movement – basically if it involves your body moving in any sort of rhythm, they will have a class for you to try.
There also will be dance demonstrations and FROOTS will be serving free smoothies all day.
Lets get moving Austin, and enjoy your free day of dance.
