I think everyone needs a couple low-key days so we can all rest up for the craziness that is ACL weekend.

And if you feeling like eating local, why not eat at the premier places to get ribs in Central Texas? I found out about this place a few weeks ago, and being a regular off South Lamar, I’ve driven by it a thousand times. I finally gave their ribs a try on Sunday. First of all, I love ribs! It’s one of those foods that I am kind of picky about, and these were absolutely mouth-watering.

I also hear that the serve up a great burger, especially the South Austin burger. But if you’re going to place that has “rib” in the name, I say stick to that.

What makes them a true Austin stop is that they, of course, also have live music.

They’re local Austin all the way, so definitely give them a try! And it’s perfect if you’re in town for ACL because it’s not too far from Zilker.

Also, it’s First Thursday, so don’t forget to enjoy the festivities on South Congress!
