281. Austin City Limits
Festivals, Live Music, Outside, Things To Do In Austin | 8 Oct 2010This really needs no introduction. If you’re going to pick one thing that embodies Austin – aside from Texas Football – it would probably be Austin City Limits.
The annual three-day festival happens at Zilker Park and brings together music from all genres. This music madness came to life in 2002, when it was was actually a 2 day event, and has grown by leaps and bounds.
As some festival fanatics many know, last year was one for the ages as the rain on Saturday turned the weekend into a mud festival. A few years before that, everyone had to deal with extreme heat with temperatures at or near 100 degrees. Despite some of these outlandish conditions, true ACL lovers are always there to enjoy the music and experience no matter what.
This year has all the makings of a great weekend, as we could not have asked for better weather all the way through until The Eagles close down things on Sunday.

Events like this are what truly make us the Live Music Capital of the world.
