When I think boat shows can’t get any better, life surprises me.

And an “in the water boat show” is the simply the best, the apex, the grand slam of boat shows!

Boating season doesn’t have to end until after this weekend. Look at this as an opportunity to help you get through the cold, dark days of winter.

Unlike the antique boat show that I blogged about a few weeks ago, this features a smorgasbord of boats. Of course, I am naturally drawn to the newest, latest and greatest X-Games-quality wakeboarding boats with towers, ballast systems and everything that makes wakeboarding one of my favorite pastimes. I remain partial to a Mastercraft X-Star, but it’s fun to look at all the options. They’ll also have plenty of fishing boats, pontoons, sailboats and big boats. For those that go to the boat show at the convention center in January, it’s like that but on the water and free!

Austin Canoe & Kayak will be out there offering demonstrations.

To top a great day there will be live music both Friday & Saturday night. This is going to be the biggest in the water boat show to date at Carlos & Charlie’s — so boaters don’t miss out! Even if you’re not in the market, it’s fun to get out and look, enjoy walking around on the dock and just be outside enjoying live music.
