We are a city of the arts, that’s for sure. And while some of us are still talking about the excitement and talent from ACL, it’s already time for the Austin Film Festival.

Man, between Oktoberfest and everything else going on it feels like this is festival overload month. But hey, that’s why it’s fun to live in a city that always has something going on!

Needless to say, the Austin Film Festival is our homage to all things cinema. We are on year 17 of this week-long festival, and it features everyone from amateurs to big-name Hollywood stars. Blog readers know that I love a good star sighting, and past festival-goers include Russell Crowe, Oliver Stone, Sandra Bullock and personal favorites Owen and Luke Wilson.

Basically this is a reason for a week-long party in Austin, as each night will feature various parties, happy hours and lots of movie watching.
