310. Gypsy Picnic Trailer Food Festival

Family Friendly, Festivals, Free things to do in Austin, Live Music, Outside, Things To Do In Austin, Trailer Eatery | 6 Nov 2010

First off, Happy Wedding Day to Blake & Christine!! I could not be more excited for you two.

Now onto the much talked about, long-awaited Gypsy Picnic Trailer Food Festival! It’s finally arrived, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather!

There will be over 30 local trailers there, and they’ll all have sample menu items for just $3 or less. For anyone that wants to get to know the local trailer scene, this is the place to be. It offers a little bit of everything. Several past list items will be there, as well as a ton of places that I’m still eager to try! You’re not going to find a better opportunity to try such a broad range of trailers in one afternoon.

Since I’ve ventured to discover different trailers around town, I’ve found a few must tries — Torchy’s Tacos, Pick Up Stixx, The Mighty Cone and Gourdough’s. I could go on and on, because there are so many great options and a huge variety of tasty trailer food in this city.

And as if the food and fantastic weather was not enough to get you to Auditorium Shores today, they’ll also have live music.

The day is also dog-friendly, so just make sure your furry friend is on a leash and doesn’t eat any snacks they shouldn’t.

Time: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Admission: Free

Location:
Auditorium Shores
950 W. Riverside Drive
Austin, Texas 78704
