311. Vince Young Steakhouse
Restaurants, Things To Do In Austin | 7 Nov 2010I was fortunate enough to be a Longhorn during the Vince Young era of Rose Bowl magic. The end of that national championship game was one of the best moments in sports history. If Vince Young makes steaks anything like he plays football, this place has to be worth a shot.
Even though he headed to Nashville after his days as a Longhorn, I like that he came back to Austin to open his steakhouse. I think that was a good move, as this city will always be crazy about Texas football and Vince Young.
By some wacky twist of fate, I ended up inside the steakhouse two nights ago with the man of the hour, and it was everything that I would expect from the Longhorn great. I loved how inside it radiates Vince Young with the classic burnt-orange hues throughout, the penny- covered Longhorn and Vince Young pictures all over the place.
I think Austinites and Longhorn fans alike should give his place a try. Good luck VY in your first week of business.
I hope the city is good to you.
