314. Christmas at the Caswell House
Family Friendly, Random Fun, Things To Do In Austin | 10 Nov 2010I am taking the dive and blogging on the first Christmas event of the year. I love the holiday season, and I can’t resist!
Normally, my house is full of Christmas decorations by now, but I’m a little behind this year. The holidays only come once a year, might as well revel in them!
Christmas at the Caswell House has been an Austin tradition since 1984. This historical home is suddenly transformed each year into a winter wonderland.
Tonight, join the holiday fun as you snack on wine and appetizers while browsing through tons of holiday knick-knacks. They have everything from décor, attire, jewelry, gifts, Christmas ornaments, baked goods and much more. It sounds like it has all the makings of a good girls night to me!
If a night of getting lost in holiday shopping is not exactly up your alley, or maybe it’s a little too early for this much holiday cheer, they have plenty of events coming up over the next few months including a wine tasting (popular, seats are limited) and other fun holiday stuff! Check the website for more details.
Here’s a scary thought for all you gift givers out there — Christmas is just 44 days away!
Tickets: $10 – All proceeds benefit Austin area non-profits.
Time: 5:30 – 8:30
Not looking to participate in the happy hour? Come by anytime November 6th-13th from 10:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. to shop all the holiday goods. $5 at the door. Christmas fun in Austin is officially under way.

Off Topic — Texas Football lovers, I know you guys still exist out there. You can get $25 tickets to the Florida Atlantic game! That’s seriously the cheapest ticket to get inside Texas Memorial Stadium, so this is a rare opportunity. Despite a tough season, there is still something magical about being lost in the burnt orange and seeing a Texas game live. Here is the link, http://tinyurl.com/ngv7nf code FOOTBALL. As always, Hook ‘em Horns!
