315. Veteran’s Day Parade

Free things to do in Austin, Live Music, Outside, Things To Do In Austin | 11 Nov 2010

Happy Veteran’s day! Thank you and welcome home to my friend that I have been writing in far away and scary lands. He is safely on his way back to the promised land after a tour overseas so welcome home Jeremy!

This blog is coming to you a little earlier than normal because the parade starts at 9am (normally the time I am about to blog) so I  had to get the word out early! The theme for the parade is “100 years of military aviation.” Hi Dad, wish you were in Austin this morning because I know you would enjoy this!

Check out the website for local road closings.

Reminder, since it is a holiday there will be no mail, banks federal, state and county offices will be closed!

Thank you to everyone who has served our Country! May God Bless America.

As always it’s good to be alive and well in Austin, Texas!

Location:
Thursday. Parade begins at Ann Richards Congress Avenue Bridge and travels along Congress Avenue to the Capitol, where a ceremony begins at 11 a.m.
