322. A Christmas Affair
Family Friendly, Festivals, Things To Do In Austin | 18 Nov 2010Tis the season (or close enough) for some Christmas adventures, and this longtime Austin tradition is definitely worth visiting.
This event started in 1976 at the Driskill Hotel and has been getting bigger and better ever since.
This is a Christmas market at its best, drawing in over 200 merchants. There will be Christmas knickknacks, ornaments, decorations and gifts as far as the eye can see. This is a great opportunity to get some holiday shopping in early, and it’s never too soon to start the holidays. They only come once a year!
While the website suggests that it’s both kid and adult friendly, I would say it’s geared more toward adults. It’s a lot of fun. Also, it’s hosted by the Junior League of Austin and the money raised goes directly back to the Austin community!
When: Today – Sunday, November 21st
Tickets: $12 person
Location:
Palmer Event Center
