Oh, Monday. I bet so many people have been dreading your arrival. I hope that everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving break, and is ready to finish 2010 with a bang!

Since it is “Cyber Monday” I thought coffee and a place to do some online shopping might be a good combination for today. Austin has a fantastic coffee community with tons of locally owned places that all have something special to offer.

I like this place because it’s in my neck of the woods. It’s on my way to work and they’re very friendly, so it’s hard not to like them. To be honest, it’s more the friendly, Austin-y atmosphere that keeps me coming back. I know they have great coffee, but I’m not much of an expert. Outside of an iced or hot mocha, my coffee knowledge is limited. Plus they have Topo Chico, and who doesn’t love that?

One of the coolest and totally Austin things about this little spot is that it was furnished entirely from Craigslist and Habitat for Humanity, which is sweet. They also have live music, which is always a nice treat! They also serve beer and wine – I love a coffee shop that offers all of the good stuff.
