340. 10th Annual Blue Genie Art Bazaar
Family Friendly, Festivals, Free things to do in Austin, Things To Do In Austin | 6 Dec 2010Time for some more holiday shopping opportunities! Some great things about this bazaar are that it’s not downtown (no parking struggles) and admission is free! It’s good to find some free fun, as money is always tight around the holidays.
They have a little bit of everything – paintings, sculptures, jewelry, ceramics, clothing, photography and more. You should have no trouble finding something special, even for people that are impossible to shop for. I always loved going to holiday bazaars with my mom when I was little, and she would let us pick out a Christmas ornament for the tree. Now our family Christmas tree is a smorgasbord of Christmas ornaments my sister and I helped my mom pick out over the years.
I love Christmas bazaars because every booth seems to be filled with eclectic art and holiday knickknacks. It’s the kind of stuff you’ll never find in other stores or on the internet, not to mention it’s good for the local economy.
