350. Holiday Movies in the Park

Family Friendly, Free things to do in Austin, Things To Do In Austin | 16 Dec 2010

Have holiday parties and shopping got the best of you? Are you looking for a relatively relaxing evening? Some low-key Christmas movies in the park might be just what you’re looking for.

I have about a million “favorite” Christmas movies. There are so many to choose from I can never narrow it down to one. I can say without reservation that “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is definitely near the top of the list. It seemed like that was the one we always watched in grade school right before holiday break. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer — another classic — also will be playing tonight. If you’re looking to make a whole evening out of the event, they will have concessions on sale.

Be sure to bundle up, the temperature is supposed to be in the high 30’s tonight. Don’t forget a blanket to sit on!
