Seriously Austin, did every holiday-themed thing I wanted to blog on today have to be sold out? What can you do? I’m glad to see everyone is out having holiday fun.

For those that are Santa-ed out and just want to hear some great live music tonight, head out to Antone’s.

Antone’s hasn’t received enough mention in the blog over the year, as it’s one of the staple venues in Austin for live music. They’ve been around for over 35 years. The atmosphere and the acoustics make it one heck of an experience. Music legends such as Stevie Ray Vaughn and Los Lonely Boys helped launch their careers here, and it was named Nightclub of the Year by USA Today.

Tonight a local favorite — actually a personal favorite of my sister — is playing. Randy Rogers will be on stage, and it would be a great place to entertain out-of-town guests. He always puts on a great show and Antone’s offers a nice taste of what the live music capital of the world has to offer.
