358. Ice Skating at Whole Foods

Merry Christmas Eve! I hope most of you are smarter than I am and aren’t braving the mall today. Oh well, I guess better late than never!

But aside from frantic last-minute shopping, Christmas Eve is normally about enjoying long-standing traditions and spending time with friends and family. So I decided today’s list item should be something fun to do with just about anyone, and going to the ice rink seemed like the perfect holiday activity.

Those willing to brave the elements today for some old-school holiday fun should venture over to Whole Foods to enjoy Whole Food’s 6th Annual Skating on the Plaza. After years and years of hearing about this famed ice rink, I went for the first time this year and saw it with my own eyes. While it was smaller than I had expected, something about ice skating overlooking downtown makes for a pretty enchanting experience.

I hope Austin was on Santa’s nice list this year!

Happy Holidays.

I am a realtor here in Austin, and clients are always asking for suggestions on what to do around town. So, I thought I would blog about my experiences, recommendations and what you have to do before you can call yourself a true Austinite.
