364. The Scabs at Antone’s
Live Music, Things To Do In Austin | 30 Dec 2010After an exciting week with family and friends, I’m back in Austin. While vacations are always fun, I did miss the promised land.
When I started my list 364 days ago, item #2 was to “See Bob Schneider.” I thought seeing the band that got Bob Schneider started — The Scabs — on the second to last night of the year was a weird way of coming full circle. Not to mention, The Scabs are awesome.
As faithful blog readers know by now, I don’t think I appreciate live music as much as I should. That being said, I love The Scab’s. They’re a band that simply never has a bad show. The annual Pre-New Year’s Eve Bash is again sure to be a great time. Something about their style of music is uniquely Austin.
Seeing the Scabs is something I would recommend for out of town guests to get a true appreciation for all the local music we have to offer.
As always, it’s good to be home in Austin, Texas.
