39.11 Dominican Joe
Coffee Shops, Live Music, Things To Do In Austin | 7 Feb 2011I’m just getting out of bed, and the only thing that has a chance of getting me up this morning is caffeine.
I like it when blog followers give me great tips, and this place is one of them. The thing I like most about Austin is that you can go into a crowded place with all different types of people and just fit right in. I felt like a regular at Dominican Joe, even though it was my first time. They have plenty of seating and free wi-fi (a coffee shop must in my book).
Their café mocha was terrific, but most people have their own taste when it comes to coffee. You also can get Torchy’s Tacos there, along with other great morning eats.
They also have a great partnership with Makarios, an Austin-based non-profit that supports educational and economic development in the Dominican Republic. It’s good coffee for a good cause. I have no complaints.
