275.11 The Original New Orleans Po-Boy and Gumbo Shop

New Orleans is obviously the town to go to for good Cajun food and authentic jazz. But if you can’t make it to the Crescent City, this little Austin trailer is a fantastic place to go for a taste of the deep South.

The atmosphere is great, with jazz blaring out of a little boom box and a friendly Cajun staff there to serve up some truly awesome food.

I tried the shrimp and the roast beef po-boys, and both were each delicious and definitely tasted authentic. Of course, you also would be wise to try the gumbo or jambalaya. I had a sampling and they were to die for!

I am a realtor here in Austin, and clients are always asking for suggestions on what to do around town. So, I thought I would blog about my experiences, recommendations and what you have to do before you can call yourself a true Austinite.
