Wow, I’m going to call this the find of the month! This place is absolutely amazing. In full disclosure, I haven’t had too much African cuisine, but this experience has completely opened my mind.
I decided on the “chicken and jollof rice, spicy.” While that was excellent, I have a feeling I’ll be craving the plantains– sliced pieces of fried bananas topped with an absolutely amazing sauce. I will go back for those alone– they were that mouth-watering good. I shared the meal with my sister and was incredibly full. You will definitely get a plate full of food for the money, so come hungry! They also have a very extensive Vegan menu. I highly recommend checking this place out and following up with Vegan ice cream from Kat’s Ice Cream, which is located in the same trailer lot.
While at Wasota, I definitely recommend striking up a conversation with Lawrence. He is very friendly and fun to talk to while waiting on your food. Plus, he gives great recommendations.
