332.11 Miracle on South Congress
Dog Friendly, Family Friendly, Free things to do in Austin, Live Music, Outside, Random Fun, Things To Do In Austin | 1 Dec 2011Tonight is going to be First Thursday on steroids. It’s going to be a holiday bash to kick off December. The city is alive all month with holiday happenings all around town, so get ready to enjoy some holiday fun until you just cant take it anymore!
Tonight’s First Thursday is an opportunity for you to participate in the Blue Santa Toy Drive. If you bring an unwrapped toy to South Congress, you get two raffle tickets. They’re also selling raffle tickets for $2, and they have over 30 awesome prizes. A few things I wouldn’t mind winning include a pair of Allen’s Boots (lucky, lucky whomever gets that!) dinner for four at Home Slice, and various gift cards. To see the complete raffle list visit the website. Good Luck!
Doc’s will be having a meet Santa event from 5 to 8 p.m. As always, local vendors and shops will stay open late, offering discounts, serving food and beverages. This is a great spot to find some unique, fun, Austin-y Christmas presents.
