336.11 Ice Skating at Barton Creek Resort and Spa

Family Friendly, Outside, Things To Do In Austin | 5 Dec 2011

This cold front has me in the holiday mood, so ice skating for a good cause seems like the perfect adventure for a rainy December day. A portion of proceeds from skate rentals benefit that Make-A-Wish foundation.

I love that Austin has an array of places to ice skate this year. Since I didn’t grow up in a cold climate, the idea of getting bundled up and going ice skating is something I really want to take advantage of this holiday season.

Barton Creek has the largest outdoor ice rink in the Capitol City. They also have a holiday shop that has gifts, themed Christmas trees, and you can keep warm by sipping hot chocolate and eating s’mores. Barton Creek has the perfect atmosphere to make you full of holiday cheer.
