352.11 Flipped ON Christmas – CANCELED!

Family Friendly, Free things to do in Austin, Random Fun, Things To Do In Austin | 21 Dec 2011

Even though there’s no Trail of Lights this year, there’s still some pretty cool events surrounding the famed Zilker Holiday Tree.

Tonight’s “Flipped On Christmas” is a light and sound show in a theatre next to the Christmas tree. It’s supposed to be pretty amazing. This show is a combination of classic Christmas music, strobe lights and audio, all while kids keep an eye out for Santa. The event sounds like it does a great job of keeping the magic of the season alive at Zilker Park.

Also, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra plays tonight at the Frank Erwin Center. I’m envious of everyone going. I’ve always wanted to see them!

Showtimes: 6 – 10 p.m. at the top of each hour, plus three shows per hour.

Cost: Free

When: today – December 23rd

Location:
Zilker Park Christmas Tree
2100 Barton Springs Road
Austin, Texas 78746

I’ve always wanted to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra too.  All I get to see is Manheim Orchestra next week, instead….
