79.12 Hill Country Pierogi

Things To Do In Austin, Trailer Eatery | 20 Mar 2012

Once again I’ve managed to hit the trailer food jackpot. I grew up eating my grandma’s amazing pierogies, so when I ran across this trailer I couldn’t wait to give them a try. They did not disappoint. Theirs were every bit as good as what grandma used to make.

If you don’t know, a pierogi is a Polish dumpling that can be boiled, baked or fried, and stuffed full of deliciousness. I had grown up eating only the traditional potato-filled pierogi, but Hill Country Pierogi adds awesome ingredients like bacon, veggies and fruit. They even offer a “make your own” option where you can decide on the filling! They also offer non-pierogi items like salads, sandwiches and absolutely amazing ranch fries.

Be prepared to wait about ten minutes for your food, but trust me, it’s worth the wait.

Hill Country Pierogi would have definitely made my grandma proud.
