These are hands down the best sandwiches in the city. I’m not kidding. When I ordered the chef told me, “the best Monte Cristo you’ve ever had will be right out.” He wasn’t kidding either.
It’s tough to describe just how perfect and delicious this sandwich was. It’s smoked ham and turkey with cheddar and provolone cheese, a homemade cherry fig jelly (that was made that morning) to dip it in, and homemade chips to keep it company. I wanted to go back to eat another one for dinner. I would wait an hour in this 100 degree weather or stand alone in the pouring rain for another one of these. It was that good.
This is without a doubt one of the best trailers in Austin.
