Austin is a great city for photography. Between our beautiful skyline and the amazing sunsets, I just want to capture it all. I’m still an amateur, but I’ve been looking into photography classes. There are some easy, fun and cheap ways to get some new pointers and learn the ins and outs of a real camera, instead of my iPhone.
Drink and Click ATX is the perfect platform for any level of photographer looking to have some drinks, talk photography and take pictures. The concept is as simple as it sounds. They meet at a bar, have a drink, take pictures and learn from each other, then move to another bar. Any level of gear or skill level is completely welcome. It’s all about learning something from one another.
Tonight they’re meeting at Hanger Lounge before heading to shoot some live music at Cedar Street Courtyard.
Each month they have a challenge, this month is Portraits of a Stranger. You will need to ask a stranger for permission to take their portrait and the top three images will receive a prize at the end of the month.
This seems like a great way to casually explore photography and have a great time!
