New Orleans is one of my favorite cities, so I was not surprised when I fell in love with a trailer that specializes in Cajun cooking.
The menu at Nettie’s Place has a little bit of everything, and it’s all pretty fantastic.
The main draw is probably their Poboys. The pink flamingo is delicious – blackened or fried shrimp served on French bread with tomato, lettuce and remoulade. The ca-sian egg rolls were a fun starter. They were a southwest style eggroll with a Cajun kick, served with creamy avocado sauce that made for the perfect dip. As far as sides go they have potato salad, fries and my personal favorite, sweet potato fries.
On Thursday’s they do “Thirsty Thursdays” where starting at 6:30 they have live music and free beer (until it runs out)!
It is definitely worth checking out this “Little Space With A Big Cajun Taste!” It’s some of the best Cajun in Austin.
