Local Gamer night is your chance to come out and play “video-game tester,” meet local game developers, and play their latest titles.

Austin has become quite the scene for local game development so there will be plenty of new and cutting edge games to be played.

This weekend they’ll have unreleased and new games throughout Beauty Ballroom for your playing pleasure. This event is intended for you to be able to enjoy and test games without the cost of a conference so get ready to enjoy the fun!

Not what I expected. Just moved here from Alaska and thought this would be cool to take the kids to. The event turned out to be held in some kind of night club. Although there were other kids there , I didn’t feel comfortable with my 9 year old there. The atmosphere was geared more toward the nightclub crowd. The music was loud and the bars were serving alcohol on both floors.
