This is a one of a kind trailer that rolls around Austin serving some of the freshest lobster rolls imaginable. The owner, Heidi Garbo’s family runs lobster traps in Maine so each day they overnight her fresh lobster for her rolls.
The lobster is served two ways. The first is the Maine which is served cold with mayo and celery. The second is Connecticut style which is served warm with a lemon tarragon butter. I can speak on behalf of the Connecticut style, which was absolutely delicious. On top of the lobster being mouthwatering and fresh beyond belief, the bread made the roll.
My friends absolutely raved about the clam chowder, but since I’m not a huge fan of calm chowder in general, I can’t speak on that. Taking the opinion of others, it is definitely some of the best in the city.
They also have daily specials. The menu is pretty simple. For $16 you can get either a Maine or Connecticut roll served with a side and a drink.
Their location changes daily so you need to follow them on facebook, twitter, or call to find out where they are for the day. Also, plan to get there as close to opening as possible since they have a tendency to sell out!
If you are into lobster rolls, you absolutely must try this trailer out.
