It’s the time of year most people abandon their fitness regimes. It’s cold, you already plan on overeating during the holidays, and you’ll get back at it in January. I’ve been there, but this year will be different. Rather than torturing myself come the new year, I’m going to be proactive and give myself a head start.
Jess Martin at Stronghorn Fitness will be my ally in this. He’s the founder of an awesome boot camp here in town that has opened multiple locations throughout the city. If you’ve never been to a boot camp, it’s probably the easiest way to stay motivated in reaching your goals. Both the instructors and the other students will push and encourage you to maximize your efforts. It’s also not a bad way to meet new people.
Still not convinced that this is for you? When you mention that you’re a follower of 365 Things Austin, they’ll give you a week to try out classes for FREE. Classes are held M-TH at 6:15am and 6:15 pm, Friday at 6:15am and Saturday at 9am.
Here’s a short video that may paint a better picture, but I promise that not everyone in the class looks like an Abercrombie model (but some of them do). People of all ages and fitness levels attend, and the classes really are a lot of fun.
