98.14 The Picnic

Last weekend the much anticipated Trailer Eatery park opened on Barton Springs Road bringing together some of my favorite trailers all in one location!

This is a state of the art trailer food eatery if I have ever seen one. They have plenty of parking, bathrooms, two massive canopies to provide shade.

Here’s a rundown to some of the trailer’s that are now calling The Picnic home:

Hey! You Gonna Eat or What – they make some of the meanest sammies in town. Do you self a favor and get the Monte Cristo, it will change your life.

The Mighty Cone – This was the brainchild of Hudson’s on the Bend owners back in 2002 when ACL contacted them about participating in the festival’s food court. In 2009 demand for the fine cuisine served in cones was at all time high so they launched the Mighty Cone trailer and its been a cult classic ever since.

Hey Cupcake – I can’t get enough of the John Lemon or Michael Jackson cupcakes.

Tapas Bravas –The best way to describe the food is authentic, fresh, and flavorful. Their meatballs may have been the best meatballs that I have ever eaten in my entire life.  The Albondigas are also a must try.

Ms. P’s Electric Cock – solid Fried Chicken.

Tuft & Surf Po – Boys – Amazing po-boys! They’re servings are massive and delicious.

The Seedling truck and Skinny Limits are also in the mix.

As you can see there are more than enough options for you to feast on while you picnic.
