Pet Of The Week: Shamrock

by -

Name: Shamrock
Sex: Neutered Male
Breed: Pit-bull mix
Age: 7 years old
Animal ID: A675147
Location: Kennel 430

Shamrock is still looking to catch a lucky break! We hear the story too often, the chi with the run of the house and the larger dog is left outside, so he learned to entertain himself by exploring and digging holes for himself. Who wouldn’t with so much time on their hands? We’ve also learned that he prefers to be indoors, especially on the cool floors of the lobby, and is very housebroken, waiting hours for potty breaks at the shelter. He is still very much an avid explorer too but should have access to indoor shelter.

Do you want to be his four leaf clover? His adoption fees are waived and we’ll send him home with a cushy dog bed for indoor use, a new collar and ID tag. His heart worm treatment will be provided through Animal Trustees of Austin.

He’s lived around children 2-16 and he’s shown to be tolerant near other dogs although he’s not had the opportunity to live side by side with one. If you have another dog we will gladly facilitate  a ‘meet & greet’ with your dog at the shelter. Make a difference for the underdog today and come visit him and see if he’s your guy!

If this not the pet for you, check out one of our previous Pet of the Week’s.

Also, check out information about their summer adoption program!
