You may have heard of the Food Truck, Garbo’s, which I instantly fell in love with upon discovering about a year ago. Well, a few weeks ago they quietly opened a brick and mortar location, and not surprisingly, it’s fantastic.
Owner, Heidi Garbo’s family runs lobster traps in Maine so each day fresh lobster is overnighted to her for her rolls.
I don’t think it’s possible to have a bad meal here. However, if you’re looking for suggestions on what to order, the blistered shishitos, the lobster rolls, and the Wagyu burger are undoubtedly menu winners. I know you’re thinking, “a burger at a lobster joint?” But both our server and the owner recommend it so it had to be order. It was bar none, one of the most fantastic burgers I’ve ever had. For those with deep pockets, there’s the Hamptons Roll, which is a $45 roll that sounds amazing.
Now, here’s what seals the deal for me, it’s BYOB. They do serve wine from local winery, The Austin Winery, but you also have the option of bringing your own!
They’re currently working on a lunch menu, and once completed, they’ll offer counter service during lunchtime to help you get in and out quickly.
Save room for a root beer float!
