Yes, you have scanned this headline and photo correctly, and yes this is, in fact, an event where people run around town in their underwear. If you are brave enough—or even if you aren’t—it’s time to get decked out in your finest skivvies and run like the wind for an incredible cause. It’s the Cupid’s Undie Run!
Last year, the run raised over $3.5 million for the Children’s Tumor Foundation nationwide ($97,000 in Austin!) and this year they are aiming for the $4 million mark ($105,000 in Austin)! That’s a whole lot of dough. So this may sound ridiculous, but this event is very serious about making an impact to #EndNF.
Most importantly, you and your friends are guaranteed to have an amazing time in Austin—with a hilarious story you can tell for the rest of your life. It’s the best Valentine’s-themed activity we can think of. The run is short (approximately one mile) so everyone can get in on the fun.
Click here to register for the Austin run on Feb. 11th.
And please note: RSVPing does not get you entry into the event. You must register through the official website.
A note about the charity: The Children’s Tumor Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) medical foundation, dedicated to improving the health and well being of individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF). NF affects one in every 3,000 people, and is more common than cystic fibrosis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and Huntington’s disease COMBINED. For more information, please click here.
